Product Designer

Job description

Hi there! We’re growing the Paid Search team in our Madrid office and you can be a part of that journey. Are you looking for an adventure – one with big responsibility?

In OrbitalAds, we are a diverse team of passionate problem-solvers, working hard focused on optimizing the performance of Google Ads search campaigns and accounts through the automation of keywords management. We do so through the development of in-house technology that we have packaged into a pretty cool product, backed by relevant investors and the European Innovation Council. We are proud to be named one of the Google Premier Partners.

You’ll work closely with other designers to develop the SaaS product of OrbitalAds, and collaborate with other team members and stakeholders (sales, managers, etc).

You would be joining an agile, flexible and dynamic company. Sounds good to you?

This Is What You Will Do

  • Translating teams and product requests into design solutions by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping and design unique, useful, high quality layouts.

  • Experience working in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment as a designer team member: you will work with the product and sales teams.

  • Define, update and use the UI Component guidelines, including design systems.

What You Will Get From Us:

  • A competitive salary

  • Be a key driver to create & shape our product and get your hands dirty with proper business-building experience.

  • You’ll work in a talented multicultural team and with “best-in-class” colleagues. We already have 7 different nationalities, so far!

  • Flexible Schedule to organize your own time under the natural constraints of business.

  • Flexible compensation like transport, restaurant, and kindergarten tickets, and after the first six months: health insurance.

What skills do you need?

  • 3+ years of work experience as a designer on a product team creating exceptional experiences with a portfolio that showcases your ability to move seamlessly between UX design, UI design and visual design.

  • Proficiency of Figma and/or Sketch. (We are using Figma)

  • Ability to make design decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data, as well as how to collect data in tools such as Amplitude, Segment, etc. (very important).

  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes and user interface specifications.

  • Flexibility and willingness to go from idea to whiteboard and from there to execution.

  • Have a holistic view of the entire design process.

  • Experience working in a collaborative agile environment (Scrum, Kanban) and dealing with Product Managers, stakeholders and engineers.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • You can plan and conduct brainstorming sessions that help the team solve problems.

  • A portfolio that contains any SaaS product you have designed. Extra points if it includes any dashboard.

What other skills

  • Good English communication skills, written and spoken.

  • You know about front-end development techniques.

  • Highly organized and detail-obsessed.

  • Show proactivity and communicate constantly with the rest of the team

Why you might NOT enjoy this position:

  • You want a highly-structured, predictable day-to-day.

  • You prefer to be managed; you act when asked and let others come up with ideas.

  • Fast-paced environments make your head spin.
